MORE SNOW!!!

While we are blanketed by the field of white, we are comfortable, some of us. Others of us are not but there are those who have risen to the occasion to help some of those not so fortunate. My prayer is that we look not to times of dire need to reach out and touch everyone. And that we grow in Him to spread His love to everyone. And enjoy the snow...

SNOW!!!

It's snowing and the blanket is beautiful. Such a wonderful time. It is a time to relax, build snow men, make snow angels... drink hot cocoa...and don't worry about going anywhere. Because that was the intent of snow and seasons. There is a season for everything and they didn't appear after Adam and Eve ate the apple. God made seasons so that there would be a time of planting, a time of growth, a time of harvest and a time of rest while the bulbs and seeds are getting ready to sprout. What a wonderful God we serve!!!

What a year!!!

Who knows what the new year will hold? Will it be one that at the end of the year we say, "Whew I am glad to see this year go"? Will it be one in which we say, "Wow I could not have had a better year"? Would it surprise you to see that all years have good and bad? Any year you live through has issues but it also has blessings if you can look past the issues. Any year has milestones, as well as stumbling blocks. I for one am looking for the challenges and holding to the truth of being in God's hands, holding on tight and waiting to see what God has in mind.

Resolution

People make resolutions for everything. Resolutions to lose weight. To be a better person. To work harder. To exercise more. Jesus resolved to finish His mission according to God's will....and that was not just a New Year's resolution that disappears when the going gets tough... When the going got really tough during His temptation He answered Satan with the Holy Scriptures. When the going got excruciating He prayed to God to do not His (Jesus') will but His (God's) will...and prayed for the forgiveness of those that were persecuting Him...and again recited Holy Scripture, "Why have you forsaken me?" He knew Whose He was and so the resolution to finish the mission for which He was put on earth involved those responses. But He prayed constantly, believed that the minutest details were important to God, and loved thoroughly...God loved us the same way... a promise is a promise...a resolution is not meant to be frivolous...it's meant to be resolved. Finished. Completed.
